Script for the Story of Romulus and Remus - Good for Year 4’s who are studying Romans if they have a class assembly or performance.
Script includes character list with enough speaking lines for a full class of 30 (or more if needed), stage directions and a powerpoint with sound effects for a backdrop.
British Values - Individual Liberty Lesson
Short (20 - 30 minute) lesson on the British Value of Individual Liberty.
The Power Point talks about what Individual Liberty is, what individual’s right are and goes through various scenarios for discussions in class.
When I taught this in my own classroom, the children were very engaged in the discussion and I feel they left with a good understanding of individual liberty and their rights.
Relative Clauses PowerPoint
This PowerPoint explains what a relative clause is an how to use one in a sentence.
It uses the Lion King Trailer as a visual aid and gives examples through the trailer. The lesson task (another resource) is also based on the trailer.
The PowerPoint also recaps what a noun, verb and main clause is, before introducing relative pronouns and finally relative clauses. The resources uses PowerPoint animations to show how a relative clause can be inserted into a sentence to add more information about the noun in a sentence.

There is also a PowerPoint entitled ‘What is a DERIC’ which explains what the acronym stands for and how each skill will lead to becoming a better reader.
These short 20-30 minute lessons have hugely improved the ability of readers in my classes. The skills they learn through completing DERICs can be easily transfered to larger, more complex texts. It also gets children into the habit of looking for decode, explain, retreival, inference and choice style questions, which gives them a good basis of how to answer questions.
Adverbials Powerpoint
A lesson PowerPoint which explain how to use adverbials, taught through the TRaMP acronym.
This resource goes over a quick recap of nouns, verbs, adjectives, main clauses and adverbs before going in to the main lesson objective.
The resource explain that adverbials can be used to give more information about the time, reason, manner or place of a verb in a main clause.
It uses a fun and age appropriate trailer to engage pupils and teach through. The resource also uses PowerPoint animations to gradually introduce information to the children, showing them how adverbials can be added to sentences.
I used this lesson with Year 4 pupils, but could very easily be adapted to be aimed at any KS2 class.

Diwali Story of Rama and Sita - Play Script and PowerPoint
Play Script for the Diwali Story of Rama and Sita.
A well organised playscript with stage directions and character list. The script has been split so there are 53 roles, but roles can easily be condensed (at the moment, there is a narrator line for most children - could be altered to fewer narrators).
Powerpoint with sound effects as backdrop.
Multiplying by 10
A PowerPoint based on Multiplying by 10. The powerpoint aims to ensure children understand that when multiplying by ten, things become ten times as large, that multiplication is commutative and the rule for multiplying by ten.
The resource includes animations to show how things can become ten times as large and uses place value charts to show how place value changes when multiplying by ten.
Responsibility Assembly - Using our Words Responsibly
This assembly is part of a focus on ‘Responsibility’ looked at from a Christian Perspective (as I work at a Church of England School). However, it could very easily be adapted to be a part of a PSHE lesson - in particular, this assembly focuses on ‘Taking Responsibility for what we say’.
It uses teachings from the Bible and equates words to wildfires and how the smallest spark (or word) can inflict devastation if used incorrectly or can work wonders in used responsibly.
It uses engaging discussion topics and videos.
This assembly is one of three all based around Responsibility, th others are also for sale in My Shop.
