Quizlet link for practice
“open” vocab test.
I gave my students a list of 50 items (some new, some familiar), and a quizlet link to help them practice.
The test required them to write down 20 words with their translation in English.
I found good levels of motivation and success in this test, since the students would write what they knew, but still needed 20 words correctly spelt.

It talks about the diversity of types of families in France, the evolution of marriage laws and adoption, and is perfect for a general overview of the situation.
The listening focuses on numbers and figures, which Sixth Form student are often less comfortable with than they would like to admit.
Then, since the video is packed with information, the following exercise is a True or False re-using the transcript of the video.
