Ideal for unit 20 of the Nationals but let's be honest most of your year 7s could handle this. Not a criticism of Nationals as I like the course, but it's just fun, a decent standard and kids will want to do it of any age.....

A few videos to get you going with drawplus, nothing fancy but enough techniques to keep most KS3 kids busy for a few hours.

I use these files as an end of year test for our year 8s. Combines some basic graphic work, with a few formula in a spreadsheet to create a graph that is then used in a mail merge task. It's a bit 'leftfield' in content and would need a few changes to the word docs to make it specific to your school, however it is a lot of fun, assesses useful skills and the kids enjoy doing it.

Thought I would create a series of mind maps to help my own students revise for this course. I have tried to embed key terms that seem to appear on the mark schemes from the board. We have had a few posts on the ICT forum in the past about how to mail merge a picture. Seem to get lots of long winded answers so I thoguht I would create this video to show you how it is done. I have used this video with my own AS level students who are doing the WJEC course.

I use this as a mock exam for my year 8 students. It's a mail merged letter to apply for premiership football manager&'s jobs. Bit of a spoof one that requires kids to make a logo and create a graph too. I based it around where I work in Sittingbourne, but you could easily adjust the text in the letter and instructions to work for where you live.
