Designed and written for a PMLD group this Sensory Story can be easily adapted for EYFS and even Key Stage 1 settings. As I am lucky enough to have access to a multi-sensory room there is a video on youtube that depending on your reading speed will act as a background to your story making it more immersive. You could even play this on an interactive whiteboard. The Story is included as an easily printed PDF with an image for each page. This means any independent readers can read along.

Consisting of a PDF booklet and a story mat, the story is written in poem format which allows for easy adaptation for use in EYFS settings. A table of suggested sensory resources is included on each page. Most of these are designed to be resourced using objects that are relatively easy to find.
