The activities are divided into 4 parts:
Renewable Vs Non Renewable Energy Worksheet
In this part, students learn the differences between these two types of energy and match examples to each type.
Reading Passage:
In this part, students will read about the world’s jouney towards net zero. They will learn the meaning of terms such as climate change, greenhouse effect, carbon neutrality and net zero.
Making Prediction:
Here, students will answer questions related to the reading passage and make predictions about 2 worlds: a world where net zero is reached by 2060 versus a world where greenhouse gas emission was ignored.
OPTIONAL EXTENSION:
In this extension axercise, student groups role play as members of the society such as climate activists, representatives of Big Oil ( Oil and gas companies) , economist and so on. They will share their prespectives on a given topic about fossil fuels.
I have included an arguementation sheet for groups to write and organize their ideas.

Part 1: Biome worksheet
Students select of their favorite two land biomes to work on. Using information on the reading sheets, student will write down information such as average temperatures, amount of rainfall per year, color the location of the biomes on the map and draw three fauna and flora common in these biomes.
Part 2: Effect of Climate change on Biomes worksheet
Students will predict effect of climate change ( increase in temperatures) on biome # 1 from the previous worksheet. Afterwards, they will offer solutions on how to prevent this from happening.

Part 1: Explore Balanced and Unbalanced Forces
In this parts, students explore how balanced and unbalanced forces affect an objects movement using PHET simulations. Through this activity, students arrive at their own conclusions regarding key ideas relating to forces, acceleration and friction. The worksheet provides easy-to-follow steps ( with pictures) to play the simulations.
Part 2: Drawing Free body Diagrams
In this second part, students read statements and draw free body diagrams to represent the forces being applied. Afterwards, they calculate the net forces and check if the the forces are balanced or unbalanced and whether the object will accelrate or not accelerate.
Part 3: Net Forces Practice Questions
In the last part, students will solve various net forces questions from simple to challenging ones. Page 1 involves simple calculations of addition and subtraction. Page 2 involves forces at right angles ( pythagoras theorem) and angles less or greater than 90 degrees ( law of cosine). It will be helpful if students have some knowledge before they begin page 2 as it is requires the use of various formulae.

PART 1: Habituation in Millipedes Lab
Students observe habituation in live millipede.They will tap the animal and observe and record its response for 8 trials. I have included a version that uses images of the animals and doesn’t require live millipedes. See preview.
Part 2: Learned Vs Innate Behavior
Students will classify animal behaviors as strictly learned, strictly innate or Both learned & innate. Afterwards, they will explain the survial benefits of the behavior to the animal that show it.
Part 3: Learned behavior Reading
In this part, students will read about imprinting, classical conditioning, operant conditioning, and habituation. When finished they will complete a worksheet to evaluate their understanding of the reading text.
I have included teacher guide and ANSWER KEYS to all the worksheets to help guide the teacher and make the lesson a success.
