This is an Ancient Egyptian themed math murder mystery. Tutankhamen has been murdered! Students must solve the questions in the 3 rounds to receive clues from their teacher. There are 3 rounds of questions covering -Addition -Subtraction -Multiplication -Division. The questions are geared to a Grade 3/4 (Year 4/5) class. The children are given clues written in hieroglyphics which they must decode in order to find our who the murder was, where the murder took place and what the murder used. The PDF contains all resources needed as well as the answers to all 34 questions. My class absolutely loved doing this and I hope your class will too!

The last slide contains a quick review of what they learned. The worksheet contains 6 different angles. The children must first name the angles. This is resource contains an exercise that gets the children to practice using a ruler; as well as a presentation on converting units of measure. The worksheet asks students to measure the lines with their rulers. They then must convert from cm to mm. As an extension at the end, they are required to draw their own lines based on a length given in centimetres. The presentation goes through how to convert from mm to cm, and from cm to m. There are exercised along the way to get the children practicing. This lesson is suited for a Year 4 class or could be used for revision with Year 5. The answers to the lengths are also included.

This Viking Quest is designed to be a cross-curricular link between humanities and maths. There are 30 word problems for the students to solve, covering addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There are 3 rounds of questions which they must solve. Once they solve the questions they are given clues written in runes. They must solve these clues in order to stop a Viking attack on the Anglo-Saxons. All answers are provided as well as teacher instructions. Children can work independently or as part of a group. The questions are suited to a Year 4 or 5 class. This resource is to help practice area and perimeter of rectangles, squares and compound shapes. There are 2 posters on how to find area and perimeter and 3 worksheets which are differentiated. The LA worksheet is an exercise to find the perimeter and area of different rectangles, where the length of the sides are already given. The MA worksheet requires students to first measure the sides and then use this to find the area and perimeter. The HA worksheet requires students to find the area of compounds shapes. They first have to find the length of the missing sides.

This is an exercise for finding the volume of cubes and cuboids. The exercise is designed for students in a year/grade 6 class of medium to high ability. Included is a volume poster and 3 different differentiated exercises. The objective for the worksheets are as follows: -Can I find the volume of a cube or cuboid? -Can I use my knowledge of volume to find the measure of the missing side? -Can I use my knowledge of volume to solve these word problems? For each ability group (MA and HA) there are 18 questions spread over 5 pages. This includes 6 word problems which vary in difficulty and require prior knowledge of long multiplication, division and there is also a fraction question included for the HA group. The middle ability group can be identified by the 2 stars on the bottom of the page. The high ability group has 3 stars on the bottom of the page. All answers are included for teachers.
