This weekly plan includes an excellent WOW lesson introducing right angles where children become right angle detectives. They have to use the properties learnt from the chief inspector (teacher) in the whole class teach to help them to identify right angles hiding in shapes scattered around the classroom. I have used this year after year and even went as far as giving the children the science lab coats to get them into character. THEY LOVED IT! Differentiated work sheets provided to evidence the practical activity. Differentiated planning. Also includes resources for making set square/right angle checker tools for children to use. They have to use the properties learnt from the chief inspector (teacher) in the whole class teach to help them to identify parallel lines hiding in shapes scattered around the classroom.
