This is a detailed lesson and PowerPoint introducing atomic number, mass number, isotopes and ions. This is the second lesson in the Atomic Structure unit of work (P4).
The lesson covers the diagrams and standard method of listing elements, ascertaining isotopes and understanding the charges on atoms and ions. There is a detailed lesson plan with notes on teaching, a PowerPoint to support the lesson and a worksheet to aid in delivery / test understanding.
