MODEL ANSWERS GCSE SPANISH 150 word tasks for all Units 1-12
I have found that along with reutilising SMASHED IT (available on TES) and a SURVIVAL GUIDE (also available from my shop), modelling is the best way for students to get a grasp of what makes a top grade 8-9 text and guarantees success when it comes to their writing as they can manipulate chunks and “borrow” segments. This of course, is not just a copy and paste activity at all but rather to give the students a WAGOLL and also “inspiración” for their own work in their GCSE 1-9 writing exam.
The perfect resource to prepare your students for the writing part (where most marks can be gained!) of GCSE Spanish.

A trapdoor activity with higher-level structure for more able GCSE Spanish students. This follows part of the AQA book on the 1-9 GCSE course.
Trapdoor activities are great as students can play speaking games with these!
Each student chooses/highlights their own individual answer and hides them from each other! Then, student A starts by reading out the text with the answers that they think their partner has chosen. If correct, student A can continue reading and guessing but if an answer is guessed incorrectly, they have to go right back to the beginning and start again until they reach the end. Then swap!
Trapdoors are also great to provide a model text for students to write out in the target language and as an extension activity, the text can be translated into English! The possibilities are endless!

HIGHER LEVEL/SMASHED IT - GCSE Spanish phrases that can be adapted (see link below) for all 1-12 units of the 1-9 GCSE topics.
These phrases either use or trigger the use of particular tenses such as the present, preterite, imperfect, future, conditional and subjunctive and therefore, will ensure that your students are utilising these in their own work and will guarantee success in the writing and the speaking exams.

As we know, the summary tasks at A level are super tricky! Therefore, this resource will hopefully help students “transpose” and “summarise” texts that are written in the first person (I) form or the we form that need converting into the third person singular/plural form. Unpick and categorise all of the parts of these “model texts”. These texts contain a variety of vocabulary and structures to offer examples of higher level sentences that students can recognise, use and apply in their own work too!
