This lesson is part of a unit of work that I have created, which you can find in my shop. However, this lesson can be a stand alone lesson too. The lesson bundle includes the planning sheet, resources and two power point slide shows. The focus of this lesson is the effects of Earthquakes and Volcanoes, also touching on Tsunamis. The lesson plan gives you instructions on resources that you will need, the success criteria, learning objective and key questions; as well as the lesson content. There is also space for a lesson assessment or next steps. The lesson is planned using the National Curriculum and includes Geography skills such as map reading. This is a carefully planned Art lesson using the National Curriculum as guidance. This Unit of Work includes a Mosaic Assessment and Review, lesson plans, lesson resources, assessment sheets, review sheets and power points. (Some PP’s are adapted from Twinkl products.) All sheets are editable, so you can adapt them for your cohort. I have used these with my class and the lessons worked well, with the children enjoying the process, and result of, making Mosaics.

This bundle has a few different documents included in it that I have found useful as a class teacher and as an Art Lead. The first document is a whole school Art Progression and skills document. This is incredibly useful if you need to make changes, or design from the start, an Art Curriculum. It gives ideas from EYFS up to Y6 which are divided into different areas of the curriculum, such as Drawing / Painting. The second document is one that I have used with LKS2 as an assessment and reflection document, it can be edited and made more appropriate for your class. The last document is a PDF that has a lot of sketching ideas that are great for a 5-10 minute morning activity, for a starter in a lesson or as part of a lesson. Teacher’s who are less confident teaching Art have found this document very useful.

This is the 2019 planning for the topic of Baptism / Confirmation in Come and See (as directed by Liverpool Diocese). This resource includes planning and a Powerpoint to use alongside it. The PP uses scripture, images and videos from the Come and See website, as prescribed in their own planning document. The planning uses the Standard Indicators, Learning Intentions and has differentiated tasks throughout. The learning tasks are varied and differentiated for the children. RE is taught through Art, ICT, Speaking and Listening and Written tasks.

A well made, carefully planned powerpoint that covers all the Learning Intentions (2019) in this topic. Each lesson is planned out and contains downloads from the Come and See website, including songs, images and scripture. There are differentiated activities for each Learning Intention which aim to include a variety of work for the students from ICT to Writing to Art work. Alongside the Powerpoint is the planning for this topic. It shows Standard Indicators, Learning Intentions and differentiation for teaching staff.
