I am selling resources that I have used while working as an EYFS, Y1 and Y2 teacher and leader. I am also Forest School trained so have uploaded some of what I have used for Forest School too. :-)

I made this Spider Man phonics game to support some of the children in my class with certain sounds. The PDF attached is a game for the sounds ‘oo’ and 'ar’. I downloaded and used different fonts which you can see on the PDF version. However, this font may not be available on all laptops, so I have also attached an editable Word version of the game. The cliparts, letters and fonts can be changed easily to support different sounds.
A dice game for tricky and high frequency word reading and spelling practice. :-) There are 4 different ‘boards’ in the document with words from phase 2-5. The document can be easily edited and different words could be added using the ‘replace’ tool.
*Numeracy link - addition
*Scruffy is the name of our class pet :-) can be replaced to suit you
A Forest School Risk Assessment I have made for my school including a safety sweep template. The risk assessments may need editing to suit your school.
*The font looks different in the preview meaning some of the pages look distorted - when you download it will be in comic sans and should all flow much better. :-)
I have created these packs for the children starting school in September to have over the summer.
Please see the cover image for the finished result.
The packs I made include:
A letter outlining what is in the pack (I stuck these on the front of the bags)
a Summer Challenge for the children to do over the summer (working on fine motor skills, fastening buttons, sharing stories etc)
a pack which has a poem about our school routine (you can adapt!), space for pictures of the school and staff
a small letter for the parents which can be included in a gift given to open on their child’s first day of school (my gift included a mini chocolate bar, tissues and tea bags and I wrote on the front 'dear parents of… please do not open until Tuesday 4th September)
a small letter to be included with a little pot of play dough (for children to work on their fine motor skills and pencil grip over the summer)
To go with these resources, I bought some paper bags, brown envelopes (for the parent gift), play dough pots, chocolate bars, tea bags and tissue packs. These can be sourced pretty cheap on amazon.
The TES preview shows my work in a different font - it is actually saved in comic sans. I use pre cursive font in my class, but I know that not everyone does! :-)
An editable game/activity for phonics/reading practice.
This is saved on as a PowerPoint and can all be edited to suit the needs of the children it is being used with - eg: changing the picture clues and sounds.
:-)
This bundle includes coursework and resources I made while completing my Level 3 Forest School Leader training. Really useful for you to refer to when completing your course and implementing Forest School in your setting. :-)
*Please note, the font is different in the previews making it look slightly distorted. Once downloaded, it flows much better!

I have made a little year book for my reception class for one of their end of year gifts. I have filled it with photos from throughout the year and some selfies from the beginning and end of the year. There is a 'what my teachers first thought of me' page and a 'what my teachers think of me now'. There are also a few more pages added about what group they were in and what their favourite moment in Early Years was. On the first page I have put a picture of our class pet!
(We call our reception class Early Years! :-))
I used this newspaper report and worksheets when focussing on newspaper reports in literacy. Our theme was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The report has lots of words with ‘ly’ endings and this was something we needed to focus on as a class.
- Newspaper report
- Who, What, Where, Why, When? Worksheet
- Newspaper report write up
- Newspaper report planning sheet
When teaching Y1, one of our themes was based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. As a DT project, we designed, made and evaluated a chocolate bar wrapper.
- planning
- Booklet for the project - planning, materials needed, spaces for photos, evaluation
I used these worksheets when teaching time in Y1. Our theme was based around Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, so one of the activities is linked to the theme!
- Days of the week
- Sequencing events
- o'clock
- half past
I used a lot of 'revision' sheets during the final weeks of the Year One year to check understanding and extend thinking.
- Addition and Subtraction
- How do you know?
- Missing number problems
- Word problems
I used these worksheets when focussing on the story ‘Dear Zoo’ in literacy. Lots of focus on the use of adjectives.
- Dear Zoo write up
- Describing the animals in Dear Zoo
- Changing an animal in Dear Zoo
I used these worksheets while teaching money in Y1. Our theme was 'Woodlands' and we had been doing a lot of work about plants and animals.
- Coin recognition
- Adding coins together
I used this Bean Plant Diary with my Y1 class when focussing on these objectives in science:
- I communicate my findings by talking about my work and through drawings and charts.
- I use my knowledge to recognize, identify and describe a range of common plants, animals and natural events.
- I name and describe external parts or features of plants, humans and other animals, such as size of leaf or coat colour.
I used these worksheets when teaching measurement in Y1. The worksheets cover the use of mathematical language to do with measurement, what equipment should be used when measuring different things and measuring lengths, heights, capacity, volume, weight and mass. Our theme was 'sea side', so we finished the unit with a bag of fish and chips which we measured before eating! :-)
Our Y1 theme was based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We used our History sessions to study life as a Victorian worker and compared Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory with a Victorian factory.
Our class assembly was a brief, humorous representation of what we had learnt.
