This PowerPoint will make a fantastic introduction to you Separating Materials lesson. The students are offered to make Dinosaur Soup only to discover they put too much of one of the ingredients and they have to separate everything and start again!! Make it as easy or as difficult as you can - most of the text is editable - change the ingredients, the quantities, the objectives, add your own keywords. For a more challenging task - ask students to separate sand from salt or water from the sand/salt solution.
