Thanks for taking a look at my resource. This resource is a 61 page, 16,000+ word guide to the A-Level Film studies film Under The Skin.
This guide is designed so that it can be printed out and students simply work straight onto it and therefore works brilliantly as a workbook for individual lessons, a whole half-term, for homework, revision, distance learning or for taking the material and turning into other formats such as creating your own PowerPoints.
There is so much in this guide that it’s almost impossible to list, but some key aspects include context, a detailed analysis of the film, examinations of the Production History of the film, including the adaptation process, a detailed exploration of narrative and narrative theory, a thorough exploration of ideology related to gender studies including oak on Clover, Mulvey & Creed, details on the aesthetics of the sci-fi film, plus analytical work and tasks , work on exam questions and much, much more.
If you’d like to take a look at every page of this resource please look at my Profile on here and follow the link to my SlideShare account OR Google Ian Moreno-Melgar+SlideShare and take at look at my ‘DOCUMENTS’ page.
This will save you not hours of work, but WEEKS worth of work and preparation and I guarantee will be worth the download. Your download includes both an editable Word version AND a high quality PDF, ready for printing or sharing immediately.
Finally: please note that you can purchase this in a bundle with a workbook for MOON here:
Here are 14 exam papers in total that I’ve created for GCSE Film Studies-perfect for assessments, home learning, flipped learning, revision, extension tasks, walking talking mocks, mock exams, trial exams and probably more!
In this download you will find that there are 7 main PDFs, each containing two separate exam papers ; Component 1 AND Component 2. Each exam paper has been carefully constructed to match the layout of the official exam papers to help students prepare for the real exams. To help plan, you will also find a Table of Contents that lists every single question used in these exam papers that are listed for both Component 1 and Component 2.
Before buying, please note that you will also find another resource on here that contains both these PDFs, the same papers in Microsoft Word format so that you can EDIT each AND an editable template so that you can again create more of your own mock papers.
Please note that obviously, I have no insider knowledge of any exams and these questions in no way reflect what may or may not be on any official exams. Whilst every effort has been made to make these questions as accurate in their wording and assessment area as possible, there is no guarantee that they will reflect any actual questions set officially. Finally, please note that there is NO indicative content included in this download.
This resource is an mp3 file where I comment, analyse and generally talk a lot whilst watching a film from the Eduqas GCSE Film Studies specification, ATTACK THE BLOCK.
As part of the GCSE, the focus of this film is on the style of the film and how it looks, so I watch and make reference to films that were an influence on the making of and the overall style of the film with ideas coming commentaries on the DVD and interviews from the Director Joe Cornish, information and ideas from the cast and crew and my own personal interpretation.
So, what is this download? Well, it’s an mp3 file of me talking over the film. There is a bit of waffle for the first couple of minutes and then over an hour of me watching the film and talking about it. Ideally then, have a copy of the film ready and to hand so that you can watch as I chat, and be prepared for me talking at 1000mph, but hopefully with some interesting insights, analysis and opinions on a whole range of things.
