Here is the story map I used in school to help my children retell and change the story Beegu. To change the story I used post-it notes and provided lesson sheets which allowed the children to create their own character and change some of the activities in the story. Here are two story maps one of the story and the other to show a change in setting and characters. I used these with my year 1/2 class and they worked great to help them re-tell and adapt a story. The additional worksheets were used to show the children how they could change different parts.
