Here is a five piece story map i used with my year 1 and 2 class to retell the story of Rapunzel. I put this on my working wall. This helped them to sequence a story before completing a big write . I have also attached a speech worksheet to help support the children with there writing.

As part of our topic we invited parents and carers into school to come and view the children’s art work for the term. For one of the English lessons we wrote a invitation for the children to write in their books and re-copy in their best handwriting and take home with them.
