GCSE FRENCH: J'ai...Qui a? French Themed Vocabulary Games - BUNDLE

5 Resources
Want your French students to have some fun learning themed vocabulary from the chapters you study? Are you looking for a fun way for them to review vocabulary they've already learned? This NO PREP activity is a fun way to encourage your beginner to intermediate students to keep up with the vocabulary they learn. You can pull out these cards and use them as ice-breakers, bell-ringers, French club activities, games and much more. Here are the vocabulary themes of the games that are included : 1. La nourriture 2. Chez le médecin 3. Les vêtements 4. À la maison 5. En ville All sets include both beginner and intermediate version of the game. The beginner version has the words written out and the intermediate version only shows pictures. All sets include color and black and white versions. Depending on class size you could either give each student more than one card or have them play with a partner. I recommend printing out and laminating these cards if possible so that you can use them over and over again. Here's how this game works. Once each student has a card (or cards), the one who has the card that says JE COMMENCE starts the game. He says, for example, Je commence. J'ai le pantalon. Qui a les chaussures? The person who has the card with shoes on it says, J'ai les chaussures. Qui a le costume? And so the game goes on until the last card is called and that student's card will say, J'ai fini! Another idea is to prepare two sets of cards, divide your class into two groups and let each group have a go to see which team can get through the entire deck of cards the fastest. If the vocabulary is completely new you could start out with the beginner deck and as the words become more familiar you could move on to the intermediate level. It's really a lot of fun, and though you can play with younger students the older ones love this game just as much.

French 20 Questions Speaking Games - BUNDLE

12 Resources
These 20 questions games are a fun, effective, NO PREP way to practice forming French questions. Click on individual game links for specific details on each version. This bundle saves you 50%. These games work for any level as they are written in French and English. Want a real challenge for your upper levels or immersion students? Use the French only version! Included with each game: 1 version with vocabulary written in French and English 1 version with vocabulary written in French only Have students work in small groups of 2-4 or project the game and use it as a whole class activity. Many of the words may be new to your students as this game is meant not only to practice forming questions, but also to build vocabulary. I like to allow my students to look at the game chart while they play until they’re somewhat familiar with the words. After they’ve played the games a few times looking at the French-English version they feel more prepared to move on to the French only version. One student in the small group or class chooses a word on the chart. Other students ask up to 20 questions trying to guess the secret word. The student who has chosen the secret word can answer using the following responses: OUI - NON - PARFOIS - RAREMENT - GÉNÉRALEMENT - PEUT-ÊTRE - CELA DÉPEND - PROBABLEMENT Alternative game play: To change up the game and to make it more challenging as well as practicing other skills, have the student who chooses the secret word describe it to others in the group. Instead of asking questions about the secret word, other students listen to the description and guess it.

GCSE FRENCH: French Speaking Questions Task Cards - 8 Tense Bundle

GCSE FRENCH: French Speaking Questions Task Cards - 8 Tense Bundle

8 Resources
These 8 sets of 30 speaking questions are just right for students who need to practice the FRENCH VERB TENSES, and they are a perfect no prep speaking activity for busy teachers. Each set of EST-CE QUE questions uses the TU form with verbs in the various tenses. In addition to regular and irregular -ER, -IR and -RE verbs I've also included many irregular verbs. This bundle give you 25% off the regular price. There are 8 sets of cards included, one for each of the tenses listed below: Futur proche Futur simple Passé Composé Present Imperfect Conditional Past Conditional Present Subjunctive In order to avoid OUI and NON answers, each question also includes an interrogative word which is great practice in helping to remember what they mean and where they're placed in the sentence. Since all of the questions are asked in the TU form, all of the answers will be in the first person singular. This is so that students can really focus and get used to using these verbs when talking about themselves and when talking to a friend. Just cut out the 30 cards, punch holes in the spaces provided and attach the stack of cards with a key ring. It would be a great idea to print on card stock and laminate the cards before punching holes and attaching them. Super easy and no prep for years to come. Both black and white and color versions are included as well as a 2 page print out of the questions if you should decide to use them as a quiz or homework assignment. I am a firm believer that repetition is key in learning a language, and that's why I've created many different versions of these speaking cards. All of the cards ask the same basic questions, but each time in a different tense. My students really appreciate the familiarity of the cards even when learning a new tense. As your students learn more and more tenses you could easily create small groups, give each student in the group a different tense stack, and have them ask each other the same basic questions but in different tenses. That's a very effective review of verb forms!
