Edexcel Combined Science CC8d Alkalis and balancing equations.This powerpoint starts off with looking at some common alkalis and how to name salts formed from alkalis reacting with acids. It then guides the student through how to write word and balanced symbol equations in easy to follow steps with plenty of examples to practice.

This is all the resources I created for the TDA element of AQA ELC double science. It includes powerpoints for each TDA for component 1,2,3, 4, 5 and 6, which includes a method card sort. It also includes 2 versions of the TDA record sheet - a lower ability and medium ability version. There is also a powerpoint to be used to teach variables and also graph work.

This is a light hearted look at achieving a healthy work life balance in that first year of teaching or in that training year. It is somethign I use when meeting my new ITE trainees for the first time and I will visit it half way through their placements so that they dont get too bogged down and despondant!
