This is a resource I have made to teach my current Year 11 class the Cold War content they will need to learn for their exam. This resource can also be used for revision purposes and/or for the students to work through themselves at home.

This resource can be used in numerous ways whilst teaching the these three topics:
1. WWI and British society 1903-1928
2. WWII 1939-1945
3. The USA 1919-1939
I have used these mats at the beginning of a topic so that students have chance to choose a square and research.
I have used this as a revision exercise where students have to collect 3 key features about each key word.
I have also used this as a board game where students roll a dice and collect as many squares as they can by asking different key questions to each other.
This is a simple PP that I used to introduce Mastery to the students.
The progress sheet is stuck in the front of students books and tells students how to be a good historian.
These lessons has been designed to teach about who Mary Queen of Scots was (creating movie trailers/ story boards) and then to explain how she was a threat to the throne (what should Elizabeth do with her?).

This resource is designed to be used with GCSE students when teaching about the role of women before, during and after the war.
L1- The role the suffragettes had (source inference)
L2- reaction to the suffragettes (source inference, reliability Q, purpose Q)
L3- Women and the war- equality (source inference, explain Q)

This resource is 2 lessons that has been designed for Year 7. The first lesson is on interpretations of Robin Hood. The second lesson can be used as an assessment or can be altered into a source based inquiry.

I use this lesson to introduce GCSE skills that the students will need to know getting ready for their exam. This is a mock exam that follows the same structure as the GCSE exam questions, but it uses sources based on Diet Coke vs Coke Zero. Included in this pack is all of the lesson resources and structure mats that can be used throughout the whole course. There is also an introduction to exam questions that can be printed and placed at the beginning of students books
The structure of the lesson:
Students read through the evidence and answer
1. source inference based on a Diet Coke advert
2. purpose question based on a Coke Zero advert
3. explain question based on gender advertising
4. reliability question based on 2 sources
5. judgement question
It is a fun lesson that allows students to access all exam skills required for this unit, but through fun evidence and sources.
I use this resource with my GCSE History students. The lesson:
1. Starts with a video about the state of the nation
2. Gives students a chance to come up with ideas of how they would fix the problems
3. Looks and what the Liberals did - how did they help? (all resources provided)

5. Planning of question- WAGOLL - chance for students to peer assess against the mark scheme
