This is a class test on life in towns in the Middle Ages. It is suitable for mixed ability History classes for KS3 and Junior Cycle. It consists of three sections A cloze test based on key words. A written source and questions based on it. A visual source and questions based on it. Each question has the total marks beside the subtitle for ease of adding up marks. The end of the test has a calculations box that either the teacher can fill in and calculate themselves, or the students can as a numeracy activity. A mark scheme has also been included. The test comes as a pdf and a MS Word document so it can be edited.

This is a menu of 27 different homework or extension tasks. It is suitable for both Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate classes, as well as KS3 and KS4. The tasks have been separated into ‘mild’, ‘medium’, and ‘hot’ tasks based on ‘literacy’, ‘creativity’ and ‘something else’. Here are some examples of tasks: Mild: “Write down 5 key words from this topic and their definitions in your own words.” (Literacy) Medium: “Create a revision poster by summing up the key points. Use examples, pictures, diagrams etc.” (Creativity) Hot: “Pretend to be the teacher. Design a homework task for the students in this class. Explain how it would improve reading and writing skills.” (Something Else) The resource has been uploaded as a PDF and a word document so it can be edited.

This Powerpoint presentation about Islamic beliefs about the Revelation of the Qur’an to the Prophet Muhammad. This is suitable for one full lesson period. The link to the video that the students can watch while they complete their second activity is included in the video and to this page. It also includes two activities. Firstly, there is a worksheet where the students can complete a written task summarizing Islamic beliefs about the Revelation of the Qur’an. Secondly there is a cut and stick task where the students read about what the Qur’an teaches and sort them into ‘true/false’ piles. In actuality, all are correct.
