This resource is designed to help students learn and analyse key quotations from the AQA Power and Conflict Poetry Anthology in a way that is fun and engaging. Students must allocate words by filling in the gaps as the teacher shouts them out. The design of this resource means that it can be used over and over again with the same classes without getting repetitive as new combinations of words can be used each time. It contains a bundle of thirty different bingo grids (two about each of the 15 poems) that are filled with key quotations and a list of suggested ‘bingo calls’ for teachers (literary terms, key themes, motifs/emotions). This booklet consists of 10 ‘5-A-DAY’ worksheets designed to encourage your GCSE students to revise their knowledge of Blood Brothers. Each worksheet encourages students to RECALL important characters and events, REMEMBER key quotations, REDRAFT an example sentence to practise their SPAG skills, REVISE how to plan for an essay question and REACT to a critical statement using their knowledge of the text to justify their opinions. These sheets can be completed in 10-15 minutes and make a great starter activity or homework task.
