Vocabulary in French to learn and practice for St Valentine's day. Follow-on worksheet with questions to reinforce vocabulary. I have included a black and white copy of the vocabulary for those of you who are unable to photocopy in colour. There is also a word search for the students and a completed one for teachers. Finally there are a selection of St. Valentine cards to colour. They just need to be folded in half and cut to make 2 cards. Doubt they will be popular with the boys, but you never know... Feedback is always appreciated. If you consider this worth buying, 'un très grand merci.' FRENCH - Easter - Les Cartes de Joyeuses Pâques - Cards

A vatiety of Easter cards to colour, so there should be something for most year groups. Perhaps useful for those children who are unable to draw. I have made them so they can be simply printed on card and folded in half. Alternatively print on white paper and glue onto coloured card. For more able children, instructions could be given as to what colours to use to colour in the pictures. To say ‘love from’ the French say ‘grosses bises’ or ‘bons baisers’. Please take the time to comment. Your feedback is always appreciated. If you consider this worth buying, ‘un très grand merci.’ Joyeuses Pâques à tous.

A detailed description of what someone, (in this case, a girl) did yesterday. The focus is on le passé composé, using a variety of verbs that take the auxilary verb avoir or être and also the use of reflexive verbs in the past tense to describe a daily routine. Revises and recaps: time, time phrases, food, drinks, negatives, school subjects, likes and dislikes, rooms in a house and a direct object pronoun. There is a question sheet, which revises the use of question words. Feedback is always welcome. If you consider this worth buying, ‘un très grand merci.’

FRENCH Adjectives - Les Adjectifs (les contraires) - Worksheets

An exciting and fun way to introduce a range of adjectives, using opposite words in French. I have given both mas/fem adjectives where needed. There is a colour matching activity. Follow-on work includes translating and a gap-fill activity. Also included are flashcards. We made up actions for all of adjectives. I backed and laminated one set of words in one colour card and the other set in a different colour. I placed one set onto the whiteboard and from the muddled set students came to match the opposite words correctly. Using a timer made it more challenging. The kids loved it and with lots of practice they were soon able to start using these adjectives in sentences. Revises vocabulary for: Clothes age name family members animals weather everyday objects L/O To be able to learn 20 adjectives in French and use them in their writing. If you consider this worth buying, ‘un très grand merci.’ THERE APPEARS TO BE A SLIGHT PROBLEM WITH THE LINE SPACING ON THE FIRST TWO WORKSHEETS, BUT I HAVE DOWNLOADED THEM AND THEY PRINT PERFECTLY.

A selection of worksheets to practise key ‘seaside’ vocabulary. I took the opportunity here to introduce the expression ‘il y a’ so that children can learn how to describe a picture. I have also included a comprehension activity which also focuses on prepositions and colour agreement. There is a question worksheet that follows. I thought this was an ideal activity for the start of the school year. So many children will have been to a beach and now they will be able to talk about their experience in FRENCH!! Includes 4 files. If you consider this worth buying, ‘un très grand merci.’
