Hi! I currently work in London as a Deputy Headteacher. I love all things teaching and learning! I am extremely passionate about education and find researching and creating new strategies and ideas exciting. The world of teaching and leading in England is highly stressful and it's up to all of us to look after each other's well-being...I hope my resources save you some precious time.

60 word flashcards covering all sounds from Phase 5 in Letters and Sounds. Cut out and laminate the sounds and you have a great, durable set of words to complement the teaching of phonics.
These word flashcards can be used for so many things. They can be used in the teaching of phonics but can also be given to pupils to work independently on many different activities. There are 3 words for each sound and the sound is highlighted in green. Also a super resource to aid phonic interventions.
One key element in the teaching of phonics is to revisit previous sounds taught - using these flashcards is a great way to do just that! Lots of games can be played using flashcards, including, 'your pile, my pile'.
Any questions, please just ask! And please check out my other resources...
60 word flashcards covering all sounds from Phase 5 in Letters and Sounds. Cut out and laminate the sounds and you have a great, durable set of words to complement the teaching of phonics. Each picture has a picture representing the word - great for EAL learners. I have purposefully chosen some unusual words and images. This is because most pupils at KS1 age, learn so rapidly, their minds working as sponges. There should be no ceiling to the vocabulary taught to children – they should be exposed to a varied and interesting selection of words and images to ignite their curiosity and broaden their mental word banks.

This sheet allows children to start thinking about why electrical symbols are used, their meaning and a chance to design their own.

Topic of green fingers in our local environment, children created front cover by using different shades of green paint on their finger to make an image of a plant.

Children check their own work and stick the checklist next to the work in book.
Thank you :)

display for my kids who need some extra help on working as a team. These labels accompany photos of them working well in teams.
Usian Bolt and Tyson Gay, ordering times (see differentiation on top of sheet and change accordingly) and then compare the two. Simple sheet linked to The Olympics.
This is heavily focussed on reading but linked with our science topic. Children have to read the text and then answer questions on it. Activites like this are beneficial in starting to prepare children for reading tests so it's easier for them if/when they do have to sit them.
Halving worksheet that can be easily differentiated by changing the main numbers. Children draw dots into two boxes that total the main number, then count how many dots are in one box.
