A detailed scheme of lessons on Luther and The Sweeney for Eduqas GCSE media studies. These lessons cover the whole Eduqas specification: media language, genre and narrative, representations, industry, audience, contexts and exam practice. This was taught over a term and makes use of wider TV crime drama texts and the Eduqas textbook.
Approximately 5 lessons on how to compare two poems for AQA GCSE English Literature based on the Power and Conflict section of the poetry anthology. Included are top tips for approaching exam questions and lessons comparing select poems from the anthology.

A detailed and comprehensive multi week scheme of work on music videos focusing on Formation for A Level Eduqas Media Studies component 1 section A. All elements of the theoretical framework are covered as well as practice exam questions based on SAMS material.
Full schemes of work on the set advertising and marketing products for Component 1 Sections A and B covering all areas of the theoretical framework and an exam style comparison question.
Can be used as a classroom display or handout/revision aid for students. This is a bank of active verbs for writing about, and analysing, media products and a bank of 'sentence starters' to help students integrate media theory into their analysis of media products. This is aimed at A Level media students and based on the Eduqas theoretical framework and set theories.

This was planned in conjunction with AQA GCSE English Literature be can be adaptable for any year group or study of the play.

Approx. 2 lessons (depending on pace and ability) which is aimed at higher ability GCSE English students exploring how to vary sentence structures in descriptive writing, using the Oxford comma and writing based on an image.
Approx. 1-2 lessons designed to help GCSE or A Level media students understand British politics. This lesson defines what a Political Party is and explores the ideologies of the three main political parties in the UK. This is relevant to the study of newspapers for Eduqas GCSE and A Level Media studies so focuses on ideologies. The final task asks students to create in Instagram page for each of the main political parties which demonstrates the ideology of each party.
This lesson is intended to be followed by analysis of the ‘set’ newspapers and analysis of how political ideologies impact these newspapers.
A lesson which incorporates peer assessment of a sample exam answer (from a real student) to the Component 2 Section A Eduqas GCSE media studies exam. The lesson breaks down and dissects an example exam question, peer assesses a sample answer and gives students the chance to write their own improved answer. The markers comments can be found on the EDUQAS secure website.
An apporx. 3 week scheme of work on the set products: This Girl Can and Quality Street. All areas of the GCSE framework are covered: media language, media representations and media theory. Also included are SAMS questions and exam style questions which are NOT SAMS!
A basic first lesson asking pupils to explore what Media is. Activities include looking at, and exploring, the main Media platforms.
Also includes WJEC course info but this could be changed for any exam board.
