11 Plus Summer Intensive Course Now it’s Summer: the time where students and parents cram for last minute revision for the upcoming 11 plus. It can be a really stressful time when you do not know what activities, tests, and what resources to do, seeing as there are so many out there. Do you sometimes wish something was out there for you- a unique plan which doesn’t cost £10? Well we have that ‘something’ for you, that thing which is missing in your journey for the 11 plus. Just for four weeks (yes only for a month), commit for an hour to an hour and a half every day, and you will have completed effective activities, tests, booster task, specific revision lessons all there for you. After the student has finished the course, they will have much more knowledge, feel confident about the exam, most importantly, feel ready. 11 Plus English Core Skills 11 Plus Foundation Course 11 Plus Summer Intensive Course Year 4 should be the least stressful part of the 11 Plus journey, in fact the student should only be spending 120 minutes maximum every week of doing work. Gradually the time spent on revision should increase, however it shouldn’t be labelled as a ‘chore’, make the transition as smooth as possible. In English it is important to keep on revisiting terms: grammar, punctuation, etc… It’s very easy to get quickly out of tune with SPaG. To have good creative writing skills, being able to tackle comprehension questions, verbal reasoning and more, you need to have the ‘English core skills’ Before advancing to formal English tests, it’s vital that the pupil has the knowledge and skills of basic English for the 11 Plus. English core skills is aimed to cover these topics so that the pupil can feel confident to move onto assessments. Note that this is ‘stage one’ of the foundation, so in the next stages the pupils will be introduced to ‘short’ and ‘long’ English tests. They will be prepared for this as they have gathered the skills from this book

Containing 20 (2x10) specimen questions for Paper 1 Section B of the GCSE AQA English Language, this resource is perfect for revision, homework, assessment, or use in the classroom- especially with the limited material available from AQA.
