Geometry Alphabet Poster

Teach your class to be mathematically literate using this A-Z poster of geometry terms. Pop it on your working wall at full size or shrink it into your Tolsby frames for quick reference at each table. Refer back to it with “is there a more mathematical word we could use here” and watch their work flourish and their vocabulary grow. This poster is aimed more at KS2 and 3, however there is a KS1 maths A-Z available in my store. This document downloads as a PDF for easy resizing. Initial size is huge (approx A1) so you do not need to worry about pixelation. I’d love to see how you use this resource. Share with me on Instagram or Twitter @missskippins or eave a review. P.S. keep an eye out for the maths bundle which will cost less than all the maths resources it will include.

Blooms Taxonomy Poster Pack

have made a set of posters to help you with your planning and knowledge around Blooms Taxonomy. You could use this for your own personal planning or to share terminology with your class so they can identify which skills they used throughout a lesson. I examined a range of different Blooms posters, videos, reading to create this and made it into a more readable format as I found that often when I’ve printed posters before they are far too small to read. This set includes a poster for each term within Blooms and a lightbulb poster with just the terms. Clipart from Watson Works; A Sketchy Guy; Krista Wallden (TPT) Fonts from Corey Company (TPT)

Types of Minibeast PowerPoint

This powerpoint is a quiz for your class. It allows them to investigate the different features of minibeasts and then try and figure out which category each minibeast fits into. I used this as a starter for my class before they went into a teamwork activity to sort their minibeasts and then peer mark whether they think it’s right. This powerpoint is fully editable so you can use it with other age groups or add/remove features as appropriate

Used in p1/2 (reception/yr 1, but meets yr1/2 standards) Looking at o’clock and half past times. draw the hands questions and read the clock face questions. Easiest sheet has a box around the hour and all writing other than the hour number. Most challenging worksheet has some questions with one hand, some with no hands and need to fill in both hands, with both o’clock and half past. I’d love to see how these work in your class! I used this resource at the start of my time topic to support teaching the order of the days and months. I was in a mixed class, so P1 (YR) did days of the week with reading support and P2 (Y1) did months with differentiation of seasons/ draw a picture of an event added in too. These worksheets are a great way to assess who has understood and who can read and sequence. here are a set of cards that have children’s rights in child friendly language with pictures. I have not completed the entire set however this was a brilliant resource for my class. They were given these cards and asked to choose the 5 they felt were most important in the classroom and made a charter from this.

Minibeasts Home Learning Activity Grid

(0)
Fully editable home learning grid word document. This is a home learning grid which was originally created to support children throughout lockdown when looking at the topic of minibeasts. It covers a range of areas to support learning such as life cycles, habitats and the bodily features of each minibeast. This is not a stand alone teaching resource, but is very beneficial to go alongside teaching, to use as homework or distance activities. There is also a PDF format available if you are happy to use this resource as is.

Shades of Words

I have created a PDF document with a range of “snooze” words that your children will often use in their writing, and added some more exciting words to help jazz up those stories. My plan for these is to laminate them and pop them on keyrings, however they could also be blown up and put on display, displayed on the IWB… it’s endless really. Enjoy!!
