Can the children write it on their whiteboard? Then, you must gather sticks, leaves, stones (whatever you can find) to partition the number! Can you answer a challenge question? Use your place value chart to help you.

You must choose the cheapest option for each piece of furniture. Look at /Insert headteacher’s name/ shopping list and choose an item. Look at the prices for that item. Write each number on a place value chart to compare the numbers. Decide which is the cheapest item. This is the lowest price, so the lowest number. Add the item and price to your order form.
