These revision diagrams are filled in as knowledge organisers to use to help students plan out the answers to the 12 and 16 markers on the later slides. The first five are just knowledge and understanding ones almost like knowledge organisers but then the following ones are set up around 12 and 16 mark exam questions. (See pics) Medieval Medicine 1250-1500, Renaissance 1500-1700, Industrial 1700-1900 and Modern 1900-Present and WWI Western Front Ideas on causes Ideas on treatment Ideas on prevention Changes/ continuity and reasons for change. For the WWI section it is a little different with problems, solutions, reasons for change and key words/ battles. You could always remove the knowledge if you wanted students to complete them themselves.

This introduction lesson is for teaching of OCR Thematic ALevel course Rebellion and Disorder under the Tudors. It contains everything you need to get started teaching this brilliant ALevel course. I have replanned this lesson 3 times and now I’m happy with it. Lesson examines- the nature of thematic learning- the content and an introduction to rebellion with parallels to 2022/ 2023 context. Card sort activity/ colour code to look for patterns over time in causation of rebellions Activity which recaps and consolidates knowledge from wars of the roses- if you have not studied WOR as Unit 1- you can use the basic info from the slide and adapt it. Also includes comprehensive course guide with reading lists, model answers, key vocabulary, key individuals of rebels and supporters of the crown, timeline, course overview and essay technique tips and past paper questions and example pink sheet.

Alevel lessons on Tudor Rebellions This is work for 2 2 hour lessons plus homework on the Nature and Threat of the Western rebellion. The Western Rebellion is one of the key rebellions which students need to study in depth for OCR ALevel. This lesson has a retrieval starter based on previous lesson. Colour code, mapping exercise to learn the narrative of the rebellion. Includes a detailed timeline/ chronology of the Western rebellion which will save you hours as I had to put it together from many different sources. Also includes a huge A3 threat evaluation sheet broken down into key criteria used to evaluate threat. This is a depth study so resources are very detailed. Analysis of threat based on all work done so far and a conclusion as well as a key debate on how violent the western rebels were.

A bundle of example answers for ALevel Russia- the OCR course but can be adapted for any exam board. OCR uses 20 mark “How far do you agree?” style open essays and 10 mark shorter questions in which students must only compare 2 factors as a more important cause or consequence of something. These answers are all A-A* grade responses.
