Why are tropical deserts hot and dry?
This lesson investigates tropical & sub tropical deserts and the reasons for them being hot and dry; ocean currents, latitude, ITCZ and how different factors such as altitude and proximity to a coast affects them. This should take 2 lessons.
Why do cities grow
A lesson that investigates the reasons for cities growing in size; ports, nodal points, adminstrative centres and agricultural centres
Why is it hot and wet at the equator?
This lesson investigates the reasons for the equator being hot and wet it also looks at the ICTZ. There is also a climate table interpretation and climate graph drawing activity. This lesson would usually take 2 lessons,
Waves
This lesson is an introduction to a unit on coasts and investigates key terms, how waves are created and constructive & destructive beaches
Types of Rainfall
This lesson should take two lessons and investigates relief, frontal and convectional rainfall. The place specific reference in some slides can be tailored to whether you are teaching.

this lesson investigates the different types of clouds, their descriptions, associated weather and how they are measured (oktas)
Drought - The Sahel
This lesson investigates what is drought, causes of drought and the global distribution before focusing on the drought in The Sahel in 2011.

This contains 10 lessons on settlement starting with the basic of types of settlements, reasons for settlements developing, city models, issues with each zone and case studies on; traffic in bangkok, Mumbai environmental effects. This should take around 12-15 lessons and is aimed at KS4 classes.

this contains 9 lessons on weather & climate including clouds, types of rainfall, variations in UK weather, reasons for differing weather in the tropics between deserts and rainforests, tropical storms a case study on drought in the Sahel and and in depth case study on Hurricane Katrina. This is aimed at GCSE or Year 9 but could be adapted for lower KS3.

A brief history of Africa focusing on colonialism. Image analysis focusing on the scramble for Africa, a tarsia of key terms, a reading activity with comprehension questions and a modern focus on the DRC and how colonialism is still impacting it today.
Africa's Climate & Ecosystems
This lesson focuses on the reasons for the climate of Africa (Hot & dry and hot & wet). This is followed by climate graph interpretation questions. The difficulties of living in a hot and dry and environment and animal adaptations.

What is Tourism and Tourism Increase
