My lessons are comprehensive, well organised and promote high levels of pupil engagement. They contain a high number of challenge tasks that are built into the lesson resources to stretch even the most able.
I have also started an Instagram flash card account that pupils can follow for physics revision as they scroll. The account is called physicsflash

This is a full set of retrieval practice activities to be used as quick 10-15 minute tasks during lessons. These tasks have been created to fit in throughout the whole EDEXCEL physics and combined science physics GCSE course (task list shown in the ‘Physics retrieval TASK LIST AND GUIDE’ that is also attached).
There are 23 different retrieval task – some are for triple science only with different tasks written for combined science physics (H an F different where necessary.
My retrieval practice activities are all out of 20 marks and are intended to test pupils retrieval of knowledge from recent and more historic topics (approx. 10 marks from recent lessons and 10 marks from other topics taught previously). They are best printed as A5 sized booklets.
All retrieval tasks come with an answer document that can be used for easy teacher marking or can be displayed for self/peer marking.
Retrieval task number 5 is available for FREE in my TES shop to enable you to see an example task.

This resource covers maths skills required for Physics GCSE exam questions (combined science physics also). It is a power point with over 70 slides that include; teaching the required skills, practice tasks and selected past exam questions embedded (from EDEXCEL but could be used for any exam board as practice). It is organised in an order that flows from one skill to another with action buttons that take you directly to each skill and home buttons so you can easily return to the home slide.
This resource can be used at the start of the GCSE course (by providing pupils with a copy of the equation sheet) or as revision before the exam when pupils should know the required equations. This cannot be done in 1 lesson and could be spread over a number of lessons or dipped into when a skill is required!
Much of this is relevant to Biology and Chemistry also.
Skills covered are:
Standard index units
Significant figures
Converting units
Equations - Substitution
Equations - rearranging
Standard form
Percentage and efficiency
Ratios
Unfamiliar Equations

Gradients
Full Lesson PowerPoint and resources to teach the GCSE 9-1 specification Physics lesson on Nuclear Energy. It covers three types of nuclear reactions, advantages and disadvantages of using nuclear power to generate electricity and evaluating the use of nuclear power.
The resource is appropriate for Triple Science classes, Foundation and Higher tiers doing the EDEXCEL specification.
You can download the FREE resource “GCSE Physics EDEXCEL 9-1 SP6 & CP6 Radioactivity Lesson outline and equipment list” for this topic from my TES shop. The FREE sample lesson “GCSE Physics Energy Stores and Transfers FULL LESSON (Edexcel 9-1 CP3a SP3a) Conservation of Energy” is also available to download from my TES shop.
A set of revision resources for EDEXCEL Physics paper 1. Covers topics 1-6 for combined science and topics 1-7 for triple science.
Each topic has a Picture/animation prompt activity where pupils explain the significance of each one and a Challenge Grid that contains colour-coded tasks that relate to the topic content in the order that it is taught (pupils get a higher score for tasks that are chronologically further back). C/SP1 & C/SP3 activities are combined into 1 activity as they are both small topics as is CP4/5. SP4 and SP5 are done separately. SP6 has 2 of each activity as it is a very large topic!
These activities can be used multiple times throughout the course and pupils can aim to improve their scores. Answer slides for all activities are included (I have tried to keep the answers concise so as not to take up more than 1 slide for each activity. Pupils may end up with more detail and can be used as a discussion opportunity). I have used some of these in the run up to the mock exam and each topic takes at least a 1 hour lesson to complete. I have also used them as revision before end of unit tests and also at random points in the course.
Separate power points tailored for Triple and Combined Science (some crossover) so you can pick which resource to use depending on which course/class you are teaching.
I have the CP1/CP3 activities available as a free sample. Also see my shop for full lesson resources for GCSE EDEXCEL Physics triple science and physics combined science lessons.
Revision resource for the Motion and Energy topics for GCSE EDEXCEL Physics - for combined and triple science.
This resource includes:
A challenge grid that contains colour-coded tasks relating to the C/SP1 and C/SP3 content in the order that it is taught - pupils get higher score for tasks that are chronologically further back. This can be used multiple times throughout the year and pupils can aim to improve their score!
A picture/animation prompt activity where pupils explain the significance of each one and why they are important to the topics.
Answer slides for both are included - I have tried to keep the answers concise so as not to take up more than one slide for each activity. Pupils may end up with more detail!
I have included a slightly easier version of the challenge grid on the last 2 slides of the presentation for lower ability classes as an option.
See my shop for the full paper 1 revision resource ‘Physics EDEXCEL Paper 1 revision - retrieval practice activities for triple & combined’ and for full lesson resources for GCSE EDEXCEL Physics triple science and combined science physics lessons.
Tables for Investigating the effect of mass on acceleration for EDEXCEL GCSE Physics and Combined science.
Blank tables and example data.
It is notoriously hard to get decent results for this practical so I noramlly get my classes to have a go for a lesson and, if they don’t get a full set of results, provide them with the example data to use for their write up.
