This Lesson pack is designed to help KS2 pupils learn more about how to write a Newspaper Report, such as the features of the text, planning a newspaper report and a wow lesson. The planning pack is suitable for all abilities and will teach children to write a detailed Newspaper Report, fully linked to the national curriculum.
Children will learn that the purpose of a Newspaper is to inform readers of what is happening in the world around them and draw on their own experiences to develop their writing.

This is an English lesson designed for year six extended piece of writing. It can be used in conjunction with any Romeo and Juliet adaption.
It is designed on the principles of gradual release of responsibility where the teacher takes responsibility at the beginning of the lesson and gradually releases responsibility to pupils through group work and independent writing.
Each page of the presentation include notes on how the lesson could be delivered. This includes a WAGOLL for the lessons writing. Each lesson also includes a success criteria to be stuck in at the top of the page for assessment purposes.
This lesson has been used to prepare for Year 6 writing moderation.
