A lessons in which students will learn about interference theory (outline and evaluate)
There are a number of activities embedded within the powerpoint including a summary of studies, research methods based questions and an application style essay.
This is a 1-2 hour lesson which should help students outline Asch's original study and 3 variations (group size, unanimity and task difficulty) as well as to evaluate Asch.
This includes a powerpoint and a student handout/worksheet which provides them with key information and activities to complete during the lesson.
In addition to this there is a 'blankety blank' style quiz/game to help students review the content of the lesson. Excellent as a plenary or a starter the following lesson to review the content.

Students should be able to outline and evaluate research designs (independent measures, repeated measures and matched pairs).
The resource includes a powerpoint presentation (with activities embedded) a handout for independent work and exam questions (with answers).
A fully resourced lesson to outline and evaluate two definitions of abnormality (Failure to Function Adequately, and Deviation from Ideal Mental Health)
The lesson starts with a ‘teacher outline’ of Failure to Function Adequately. Students then consolidate and apply their understanding of the definition through watching the video of Denise (Hoarder.mp4). Then there is a short student task and teacher outline for ‘Deviation from Ideal Mental Health’. Students then consolidate their understanding by transforming the content into pictures and symbols (using student handout AO1).
To help students evaluate the definition there are some discussion prompts on the powerpoint followed by an independent matching task.
As a plenary and/or homework task students are asked to review ‘The Naked Rambler’ and apply their knowledge of these two definitions (and potentially others) to this situation

The first outlines & evaluates the Sapir Whorf Hypothesis. This includes:-

The second lesson outlines our view of the world i.e. recognition of colour & recall of events. This includes:-
practical activities to demonstrate research into this area
link back to Sapir Whorf (i.e. how this research can be used to evaluate Sapir Whorf)

A lesson to allow students to outline & evaluate Piaget’s theory of language development. This includes:-
A video to review topics from Piaget’s theory of cognitive development
discussion around language development
independent written tasks (with support frame/gap fills)
A lesson to evaluate Piaget’s theory. This should be complete AFTER the outline of the stages and the two key studies (Policeman Doll & Naughty Teddy)
