Phase 2 Phonics Practice Activity: Making Words with Modeling Clay
1.After going through the letter sounds and practicing, ideally 4-8 sounds at a time*, print the slides (laminate for multi-use)
2.Hand out to students a set of words in pairs or in a group
3.Pass out modeling clay to each group and have students form the words with clay on top of the pages.
4.After forming the letters students make the individual sounds, and then finally read the word together
5.After finishing one stack, students can rotate the cards around to another group
