Place Value - Missing Numbers up to 100 An activity that can be used as a lesson starter, an exit slip or as continuous provision in the classroom. Children can either use a 100 square or work independently to work out which numbers come before and after those shown. In my classroom, I have them laminated and cut ready for children to use with whiteboard pens. I have also used them with wooden numbers, where children simply find and place the numbers in the spaces. The purple cards are counting up whilst the blue are counting down; colour coded for clarity. Two 100 squares are also included, with a traditional format as well as a 100 square for counting backwards to enable children to recognise numbers in a different format. Fact Families to 10 - Build a butterfly I have created this resource to be used as an independent Math activity/ tray task, as a consolidation for fact families / number facts to 10 or as an exit slip. Children have a butterfly template plus 2/3 fact families mixed up. They need to put down the body and find the four number facts that go alongside the body.
