This is the percussion part that forms the main part of my YouTube video. Children may find it easier to have the part in front of them, rather than reading from a screen, Plus it’s on a stave, so that develops their learning further.

Cut out the ‘building blocks’ and choose four to make up your melody. Try different ideas. Which blocks work well as the opening? Which makes your melody sound finished?
When you’re happy with it, stick the four building blocks down. Can you write out your melody on a stave?
