These grids I made as English Coordinator for children to stick in the front of their book and use to assess their writing. They have been very successful. Pack includes : Year 3 Year 4 Year 5 Year 6 Greater Depth The resources are colourful and contain examples. They have helped us to embed grammar throughout the school and writing has improved throughout.

These progression in writing assessment cards are child friendly and colourful. This pack includes year 1- year 5. I haven’t made a year 6 yet…but work in progress! The children find them easy to use with great examples. I made them as English coordinator to help embed grammar throughout the school and also help staff with the expectations for the children in each year. I used the National curriculum and the Pie Corbett progression in writing to help me piece these together. The individual price of these totals £14.95, so thought I bundle them together for just £5.99. Please feel free to adapt this resource and obviously change the school name and logo at the top. I made these tasks for my class to focus on now the SATS are over. They are loving them so far. They love working in groups and presenting to the class. It also creates a healthy bit of competition. Both group tasks involve working collaboratively, budgeting, research , recording information and preparing a presentation. I used this for my mixed year 5/6 class to assess the first week of place value. I chop them up and stick in books- then the child will tick which statements they think they can do in the first column and I tick the second column. There is also a space for next steps. My class found it useful.
