My class are reading Charlotte’s web, so I created some addition word problems for them based on the book. Hope they are useful to somebody else. There are 3 levels a= 3 digit numbers b= 4 and 5 digit numbers c= 5 and 6 digit numbers with a bit of subtraction thrown in!

I made this sheet for my class to do as an extension if they finish their work when we do factors. 2 problems to think about and explain their reasoning with a Raymond Briggs theme!

I used the write stuff style planning with my class for Viking Boy by Tony Bradman. We wrote narratives using 5 plot points each with 3 learning chunks. The planning is also included. Also, as my class loved the format, we used the same style for Non-Fiction, newspaper reports. I made an example of a newspaper too as my class also did this for their computing sessions (word processing). I have included this too. We got really good fiction and non-fiction writing from all of the children using these resources. Any questions, please ask.

My class have been doing the book ‘How to train your dragon’ and a topic on Vikings- Years 4, 5 and 6. To link to this in maths we did these word problems Includes- 3 levels for addition- developing, expcted, greater depth and 3 levels for subtraction- developing, expcted, greater depth The subtraction have some multi step problems included- addition and subtraction

A self assessment checklist for 'Writing in Role' English KS2-3

I created these checklist cards as English Coordinator to help embed grammar throughout the school. The children can use them to assess when they have done a piece of writing. I used both the national curriculum and Pie Corbett's progression in writing to put these together. They are very visual and give examples. This is the year 2 one. Had lots of good feedback from our school and cluster from children and staff.
