Excretion - A complete set of resources for Edexcel IGCSE Biology (plants and animals)

(0)
This is a complete collection of lesson resources for the unit of work on Excretion (plant and human) - it includes Powerpoints for every lesson, and all associated worksheets. This is part of the ‘Section 2 - Structures and Functions of Living Organisms’ part of the specification, and comprehensively covers excretion of waste products from plants through stomata, human excretion and differences to egestion, gross structure and anatomy of the kidney, ultrafiltration, selective reabsorption and osmoregulation via ADH. If you have any questions at all about the resources - how to use a particular component, then please do email me at roberti_85@yahoo.co.uk.

This is a complete set of lesson materials for the section of the specification about the specific minerals plants need to grow successfully. Includes materials for both teacher + student. If you have any questions at all about the resources - how to use a particular component, then please do email me at roberti_85@yahoo.co.uk. *The resources have been numbered, to show the order in which this unit of work would be taught. If you prefer, simply delete the lesson number from the included files.

Plant Nutrition - A complete set of resources for Edexcel IGCSE Biology (Section 2E)

5 Resources
This is a complete bundle of lesson resources for the unit called ‘Section 2E - Plant Nutrition’ in the Edexcel IGCSE specification. It all aspects of photosynthesis, the structure of a leaf, uses of glucose, the required practicals (namely the test for starch and using pondweed to measure photosynthesis rates), limiting factors, maximising photosynthesis using greenhouses and mineral requirements. The bundle includes Powerpoints for every lesson (both student AND teacher versions), and all associated worksheets. Biological Molecules - The Board Game (a fun game covering all aspects of the AQA Biology A-Level)

(0)
I've designed this board game as a revision tool to us with A-level groups, to help consolidate the topic of Biological Molecules (including nucleic acids) Included in the package is the board game (with editable word version), all nucleotide card templates, and all 120 questions (editable version included too). All you need are some dice and counters :) The rules (noted on the board are as follows: Place all shuffled question and nucleotide cards face down on their respective piles. Start on the yellow square. Roll the die, and move that many spaces along the sugar-phosphate backbone of DNA, all the way to the top. Move across the organic bases and back down the other strand until you reach the final red square. As you move around the board, you will collect nucleotide cards. You will need to match cards with complimentary bases in order to start forming a stable double stranded molecule of DNA. The winner is the player who can form the largest, double stranded molecule of DNA from all of their nucleotides. If you land on: Red phosphate – draw a card from the question pile. If you answer correctly, you can take 1 nucleotide card. Green sugar – move forward 2 spaces Blue sugar – take a free nucleotide from the pile (cytoplasm) Purple sugar – miss a turn Orange sugar – mutation occurs: discard one nucleotide card of your choice and pick up a new one from the pile
