This is a resource pack to challenge pupils and build their reading skills. The word cloud contains over 30 weather expressions whereby pupils demonstrate their understanding of a variety of tenses and higher weather expressions.
The second reading resource is a European forecast of 11 countries weather predictions. Pupils read the reports and complete 3 exercises. The first is a grammar exercise whereby pupils identify all the verbs in the future tense and then select 3 expressions to convert from the future to the past. The second exercise contains 12 comprehension questions relating to the weather reports. The third exercise pupils find 12 expressions in the text.
Pupils are able to revise countries, the future tense and weather expressions.
The resources are easy to print and would be suitable for classwork, homework and cover work.
An interactive PowerPoint presentation that revises and reinforces high frequency vocabulary in a fun way. The first slide displays the 11 topics and the teacher or pupils decide which topic to test themselves on. Lots of popular games such as bingo can be played using the slides as a prompt. This resource is aimed at higher candidates to improve their reading skills. It comprises of 4 A-A* questions taken from 2012-2015 WJEC higher Spanish reading exam papers. The main topics within the questions are personal information, sport, free-time and festivals.
Key exam techniques are required and it is an ideal platform to challenge pupils. This can be set as class work, home work, cover work or revision.

This resource pack is deigned for pupils that are either learning the conditional tense for he first time or recapping. The teacher PPT takes pupils through the formation. There are exercises to check understanding and translation and gap-fill exercises for pupils to demonstrate understanding, For creativity and the opportunity for pupils to expand their vocabulary there is a speaking game where pupils are posed with dilemmas and they have to say what they would do whilst justifying their opinion. It would be easy to adapt the speaking game to a written task. Also within the teacher PPT is a listening gap-fill of a song that uses the conditional tense.
There is a reading comprehension whereby pupils read the accounts of 9 people saying what they would do if hey won the lottery and answer a series f questions. This is excellent stimulus material before starting writing or speaking work.

This workbook contains 7 exercises for pupils to demonstrate their understanding of the first two modules of Expo 1. Exercise 1 tests understanding of items in a school bag. Exercise 2 pupils need to put the days of the week in chronological order. Exercise 3 pupils are required to complete mathematical operations demonstrating understanding of numbers 1-30. Exercise 4 is a crossword of 10 colours. Clues are in English and answers in French. Exercise 5 pupils match up 7 dates, demonstrating understanding of numbers and months. Exercise 6 pupils read a short passage and write what they are called, how old they are, and when birthday birthday is. Exercise 7 is a reading comprehension whereby pupils demonstrate understanding of greetings, introductions, age, birthdays, physical descriptions, family members, pets and colours.
Easy to print, use for class work, home work and cover work.
This is an ideal first lesson. The teacher PPT contains a wall of knowledge whereby pupils can share any German phrases they may know already. Classroom expectations and key topics to be taught in the academic year are also shared with pupils. This is easy to edit to suit your own behaviour for learning expectations and SOW. There are several slides to introduce vocabulary for introducing yourself, greeting people and saying how you are feeling. There is a song to the tune of "nice one Cyril" pupils sing the song and pass an object around. When the verse ends the pupils with the object introduces themselves. There is a scale for pupils to use as a modelled example to tell each other how they are feeling. To consolidate learning there is a reading gap-fill of the phrases that have been introduced. The solution is provided. There is also a plenary to match the pairs.
This resource pack contains a teacher presentation revising descriptions of home and making comparisons. This teacher PPT is 18 slides and includes speaking and writing practice of which house they prefer and justification for their opinion. There is also a kinaesthetic reading resource where the teacher cuts up six comparative sentences and places them in envelopes with the translation on the outside of the envelope. Pupils work in groups or independently to translate the sentences. These are easy to edit for your own purpose.
There are 11 slides of celebrity homes to be printed out for prompt cards for the speaking and writing task. There is also a vocabulary support sheet to help pupils.
These resources were used in an observation where I was judged "outstanding". It is a really fun and meaningful lesson.
This pack of resources contains a teacher PPT that has a word search recapping on directions. There is then a grammar slide where pupils categorise genders of where they are going to using aller + au, à la, à l' and aux. There is then a consolidation slide with modelled answers for pupils to complete written or spoken work. Pupils then complete a worksheet which is a word puzzle consolidating the language. There is a solution to this puzzle on the teacher presentation. There is also a word search of 14 places that are used within the teacher presentation and within Expo.
As a plenary the teacher calls out places they are going to visit and the pupils play bingo.
Teacher cuts out the phrases and displays them around the room. The English is displayed on the white board and pupils circulate around the room finding the translation. Pupils are penalised for misspellings. This is easy to edit for all topics.

A crossword with clues in English is also included. A summary slide with flags is also provided - this can be easily edited and ideal for fun games like bingo.

This is a rolling loop PowerPoint containing 18 sentences in the present tense using different verb forms. The teacher reads out the English translation and pupils compete against the clock to find the translation in French. This is an excellent way of assessing or reinforcing vocab in a fun manner.
The template is easy to edit for other topics.
Divide pupils into pairs and ask pupils to set up into teams on either end of the classroom. Pupils run/walk to their partner. Partner 1 reads out the phrases and partner 2 writes down the phrase. The objective being to write down phrases correctly with accurate spellings and accents. They then swap roles. The winning team presents the teacher with 5 accurate sentences. This is a fun way of getting pupils working collaboratively and improving listening and written skills.
