This teacher PPT is 18 slides and includes speaking and writing practice of which house they prefer and justification for their opinion. There is also a kinaesthetic reading resource where the teacher cuts up six comparative sentences and places them in envelopes with the translation on the outside of the envelope. Pupils work in groups or independently to translate the sentences. These are easy to edit for your own purpose. This is a rolling loop PowerPoint containing 18 sentences in the present tense using different verb forms. The teacher reads out the English translation and pupils compete against the clock to find the translation in French. This is an excellent way of assessing or reinforcing vocab in a fun manner. Divide pupils into pairs and ask pupils to set up into teams on either end of the classroom. Pupils run/walk to their partner. Partner 1 reads out the phrases and partner 2 writes down the phrase. The objective being to write down phrases correctly with accurate spellings and accents. They then swap roles. The winning team presents the teacher with 5 accurate sentences. This is a fun way of getting pupils working collaboratively and improving listening and written skills.
