This resource was created for mastery in Maths in Year 4 and could also be used alternatively in Year 5. The PowerPoint expands on children’s understanding of fractions and finidng fractions of a given quantity. The resource also allows children to refine understanding of times tables facts as well as use of the four calculations. When using the PowerPoint, children are encouraged to participate alongside the teacher and work with colloboratively with a partner (if needed). The resource also provides teachers with an opportunity to assess understanding of the lesson using AfL. The resource coincides with the Year 4 White Rose curriculum where children are encouraged to develop and refine understanding of fractions over the Spring term.
