**Reading Question Matrix and Question Matrix ** A question matrix is a tool designed with the purpose of introducing us to a hierarchy of questioning. Designed similar to Bloom’s taxonomy or Higher Order Thinking (HOT) questions. This resource can be used both by teachers and students to develop their questioning and reasoning skills. The deeper the question, the more challenge you a providing for the students. Reading Question Matrix Use the reading questioning matrix to help you use different kinds of questioning as you read with a child. The boxes are there to help you structure your questions e.g. Who could…? How might…? Why is…? etc. All readers should be asked questions from the red/orange sections, proceeding along the matrix towards the blue/purple end. These latter questions will be trickier to answer and require a deeper level of understanding and discussion about the story to answer.

Einstein’s Riddle Logic Puzzle also known as the Zebra Puzzle,

(1)
Einstein’s Riddle Logic Puzzle. Einstein’s Riddle, also known as the Zebra Puzzle, is a classic logic puzzle that challenges you to use deductive reasoning to determine the relationships between a set of variables. This was given to me as an exercise in logic puzzles. I think it is a great puzzle. According to the worksheet I was given this puzzle is attributed to Albert Einstein. He claimed that 98% of the world could not work it out. Can you? There are five houses in a row and in five different colours. In each house lives a person from a different country. Each person drinks a certain drink, plays a certain sport, and keeps a certain pet. No two people drink the same drink, play the same sport, or keep the same pet. The names , drinks and pets can be changed to fit to your school. “Einstein’s Riddle” for learners to work together in groups to solve. **Answer Supplied **
