I am a determined and hardworking NQT ready to get working and be there for children, especially those that are vulnerable and need support. I undertook my school experience in a Year 1 class within a diverse area in North London. I thoroughly enjoyed working within that age range and felt I could relate to the children as I grew up in North London myself. I was there from October-February and seeing how much the children I taught had developed and flourished made me very proud. I took on my own daily phonics group and was trusted to take on teaching weekly Art College for Year 5 and 6s in addition to the everyday teaching of my base Year 1 class. I particularly enjoy teaching phonics and I am continually increasing my knowledge on early reading. I like to think of myself as very motivated and enthusiastic, always reflecting on my lessons to ensure I am continually learning and adjusting to improve my pedagogy.
