IR stem change preterit worksheet
Verbs included (e-i): pedir, servir, repetir, preferir
(o-u): dormir, morir
For each verb, follow these guidelines:
Write the correct conjugation in the preterit.
For the 3rd person singular (él, ella, Ud) and 3rd person plural (ellos, ellas, Uds), write the preterit conjugation with the e-i or o-u stem change. Then, in the second blank add 3-4 words to complete the sentence.
Avoid repetition in your sentences (using the same words over and over)

Sentence completion practice: Present tense and infinitive
Complete using a conjugated verb in the present tense or an infinitive (-ar, -er, -ir) and give details (add 4-5 words). For reflexive verbs, use the appropriate reflexive pronoun (me, te, se, nos, os, se). Do not repeat any verbs. No one word responses.
In the first blank, write C if the sentence requires a conjugated verb and write I if the sentence requires an infinitive.

Verbs included: Hacer, tener, poner, salir, venir, decir, saber, conocer
For each verb: 1. conjugate it for all 6 persons in the present tense, 2. Write an original sentence (8 words minimum) with the verb using a different subject (yo, tú, él, names of people etc), 3. Based on the sentence, write an original information question. Vary your question words (Qué, Dónde etc). Your question must be 6 words minimum.
Create and answer 10 original information questions in the preterit tense using the template provided.

Formula for information questions: Question word + conjugated verb + subject + rest of the question + clue word (ayer, anoche etc.).

Every question must have a different preterit clue word from the clue word bank below. Your answers do not need to be a specific amount of words. However, answers must be in a complete sentence. Note: -ar and - er verbs do not stem-change in the preterit tense
