This is a powerpoint that lasts 15 minutes which can be used from KS2 to KS5 to go through the important topic of Fake News with students. It involves no writing, just discussion questions and videos to give the students a snapshot of fake news in tutor time or a short session. Fake news is part of the new Relationships & Sex Education& Health Education curriculum and also includes a plenary quiz at the end. The videos are downloaded and there are no writing tasks. This can be used for a tutor time session, a PSHE or Citizenship lesson or as a whole school assembly.
This was a PSHE session for tutor time for KS3-5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) which is 10- 15 minutes long and contains videos, discussions and important messages for students about different religious and cultural practices and diversity. This could be used as part of the diversity element of the PSHE and Citizenship programme or could be used as an assembly. The students responded well to this session. There are no written activities and it includes a quiz to check learning and two downloaded videos that will never disappear. One video is about religious festivals and the other about non-religious festivals. This session could easily be lengthened to create a whole lesson for RE on the importance of festivals.
This is a 15-20 minute assembly or PSHE tutor time session for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) about social media. It goes through the legal restrictions of different platforms, the advantages and disadvantages of social media and the addiction it can cause. There are discussion activities and videos but no written activities. The three short video clips are downloaded so will never disappear. The presentation will last approximately 15 minutes but can be lengthened or shortened easily to fit a whole lesson. This fits into the new Relationships & Health Education Curriculum, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Mental Health focus, SMSC & FBV agendas. Students reacted very well to this session.
This lesson was originally a two part lesson forYear 7 students to make a model or 3D picture of the Harimandir Sahib (The Golden Temple of Amritsar). It includes a worksheet about how to be a good team worker as well as full instructions for the task. Students loved creating these models and it taught them teamwork skills and information about the Golden Temple. It is suitable for pupils from KS2-KS4 (Aged 7-16).
This is a comprehensive list of all of the online free training courses available for staff to improve their knowledge about topics in the new RSE and Health Curriculum and aid their teaching of PSHE and Citizenship. Each training course has their website, their relevance, timings etc so it is a full list which can be used in a staff training session or put on the Staff online area for people to access throughout the year to complete extra PSHE training courses. Relevant to all Secondary School staff with any interest in PSHE, RSE, safeguarding or mental health.
This is a 15 minute session which can be used for tutor time, PSHE, pastoral session or an assembly. It includes definitions, discussion activities, downloaded video, sources of practical support and ends with a quiz plenary. It covers what coercive control is, how pupils can recognise it and where to seek support. It is suitable for KS4 or KS5 (Years 10-13, Ages 14-18) students and explains the legal aspects of coercive control. It links to the new RSE and Health Curriculum and can be used in conjunction to my coercive control lesson also in my shop to create a whole unit on this important topic.
This session is a 10-15 minute PSHE session that can be used as an assembly or as a tutor time whole school pastoral health focus. It outlines definitions, how girls can check for breast cancer, why it is important to know at such a young age and what the symptoms are. This has a downloaded video and includes discussion activities, information, where to get support and a plenary quiz. There are no written activities but this can be easily lengthened for a whole PSHE lesson. This is suitable for KS4 and KS5 students (Years 10-13, Ages 14-18) and links to the new RSE and Health Curriculum.
This has twenty presentations which can be used as assemblies, tutor time sessions or lengthened for a PSHE or Citizenship lesson. They are 15 minutes in length and contain videos, visual cues and discussion activities.
These two PowerPoints are 60-90 minute lessons focusing on social action by lookind specifically at the Birmingham Six and Hillsborough. They have been received very well with KS4 students.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly or tutor time PSHE session on keeping safe both walking to and from school, in the local community and online. It can be shortened or lengthened to be used for a whole lesson. It follows the Relationships, Sex & Health Curriculum introduced in 2020 and explains how students can keep safe. It was delivered to KS3, KS4 and KS5 with excellent feedback. The PowerPoint contains videos, discussion tasks but no written tasks. It includes:

This was to inform the students about what was going on in government, teach them about democracy and give room for debate. This could easily be lengthened to an hour’s lesson by holding a more formal debate.
It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12) and can be used as an assembly or part of the Citizenship, PSHE, FBV, SMSC or tutor time programmes.
