Assess confidence of essay writing.
Students to complete a knowledge quiz to recap AO1, then read a poor example of an answer to review. They look at an example of how this is improved before having a go at improving a paragraph themselves.
Finally, an AO1 paragraph is written for them, they need to complete the AO3 paragraphs using the structure learnt throughout the lesson.
Re-assess confidence at the end of the lesson.
This has really improved my students’ essays. Hope you find use in this too :) Please do leave a rating.
