A short document for the class teacher to complete to record and share information about a SEND pupil, or a pupil who may need to join the SEND register as they join their next year group. Great for a robust transition and communication between year groups.
I have created new table names for my class using the idea of inspirational people.
I will show the children the image of their group’s person and ask them who it is and they will then research facts about their person. These name/fact cards will be displayed on their table.
I have created 12 name cards so I can change the group name’s very term. A simple yet effective way to introduce children to some of the inspirational people of our world. I hope you find them useful!
I have added the PDF version if you want to keep the font.
Fully editable in Canva, follow the link once downloaded. You don’t need to pay for an account, most of Canva is free to use and is really easy to use.
3 different designs: Sunflowers, Rainbows and Crayons. All created with two versions of sizes of months.
Great to share with staff and parents for an overview of the key events in the school year.
This is a copy of the curriculum we use across Nursery and Reception. I am no expert, it is a developing document but it could be a starting point for you.
I have included all areas of learning, including the use of some schemes we follow, including: White Rose Maths, NCETM, Developing Experts, RE Come and See, Ten:Ten RSE, Barefoot Computing.
Vocabulary is highlight in blue - still to be developed. I have included Nursery 1 and Nursery 2 - you will see this is the children who join our Nursery later in January (N1s or rising 3’s)
I have deleted names/information and replaced with a * so please look out for this. All Literacy texts have been chosen with ambitious vocabularty and with purpose - the texts in bold are traditional tales.
This curriculum is relevant to our school and it’s setting - please make it your own and use it as a starting point. If you do choose to use it, please share how you edit and use it! (41 pages)
Please note - I used this document in my OFSTED meeting with the inspector to highlight how it is used across the two units, however they did not ask to look at the document themselves.

I have mentioned this document on my Instagram that I use as Early Years Leader to keep a track of ‘spotlight’ children in the earliest of years in school.
Please note - I am not saying all schools need to use something like this, I find it really useful for me as EYFS leader to track and monitor these children. Please use and edit the document as you wish. I have added notes in red for you to think about when adding to the document. I share this between all teachers as we are all accountable for the progress children are making.
I use the term ‘spotlight’ as the bottom 20% of children.
Please note (again) - I did use this document during my OFSTED meeting with the inspector to talk about how we track and support progress for our children- they did not look at the sheet themselves.
If you do choose to use this resource, please share what you do with it!
