Standard form lesson used for OFSTED received great feedback and lesson rated outstanding. Included Powerpoint with notes, quick questions and answers , sorting activity and success criteria ladder. Also includes GCSE exam questions and and answers ( i set this as homework, but would be greaa to use in class) Students enjoyed the lesson and really started to not only understanding how to answer exam questions but the purpose of why standard form exist.

Powerpoint goes from basic explanation of what bounds are, then calculating bounds. Applying to contextual exam style questions , including division problems and pythagoras. As the topics booklets I have previously used have now started to become a little outdated due to the new spec GCSE. I have now (PAINSTAKINGLY!) gone through all the new spec papers that have been released and collected together topic questions for easy practice. These work great as revision, practice and targets for pupils to work on after assessments. All come with answers ! I created this resources as my foundation group were struggling on knowing when to use either pythagoras or trigonometry. These were both skills they had learnt and could do but couldn’t quite understand when to use which one. Lots of worked examples, and practice , all answers included.
