Phonic Roll and Read game boards. These games are differentiated. Choose the boards that target your specific phonemes and the graphemes you are teaching. A consolidation, or extension, board is provided for each target phoneme that includes a combination of graphemes. This is an easy way to differentiate phonic activities in a classroom. When students arrive to the ‘Roll and Read’ table, they simply choose the board that has their target graphemes on.
Graphemes include; ai, ay, a-e,
ee, e, ea, y ,
oa, ow, o
ar
One board for each grapheme introduced
A consolidation board is included with all graphemes for the target phoneme (sound)
Instruction sheet is provided for the teacher
Teacher checklist to record skills used by students to decode the words
Blank board to write your own words on
The target phoneme is underlined on each board so it will prompt the student to say the sound as a whole (e.g. ‘feet’)
Most words are one syllable but there are some two syllable words included
I hope you find this useful. Laminate games or put them in plastic sleeves for reuse and save on printing ink.
Kind regards,
Jennifer
