Hi there! I'm both an English and Geography teacher in London. I am currently working in an Outstanding school which is my second Outstanding school of my career in London after teaching in both Ireland and the Middle East. My resources are both English & Geography resources where I like to give the student an active role in their learning. An excellent resource to be used at the end of the play to analyse the key scenes in the play. These also include key extracts that students can be used for questions on the play. At the end of the PowerPoint the students are asked to write about a certain theme(s) using key scenes.

Advertising PowerPoint for Year 7's to give them an insight into some of the techniques used within advertising. The lesson includes going trough the basics such as terminology and also embedded YouTube clips embedded showing certain TV advertisements which can be used for Q&A sessions. You can choose your own logo's for the final pair exercise depending on your class.

This lesson focuses on Steinbeck’s use of language to create atmosphere at the start of the novel. Students start ‘Do Now’ in relation to connotations, followed by a think-pair-share to talk about other connotations. Students then read the start of the novel and answer questions before completing a main task. There is also a hinge question and plenary to check understanding. This is lesson 2 of 24 on this unit of Of Mice and Men which can be purchased as a bundle-a full 40 page SoW is included as a guide.

This is a very good resource that I gave to my examination students who are using recording devices or typing their examination answers. The questions within the feedback sheet were given after their mocks but can be also used for in-class preparation.
