Working Hours: 37 hours per week, (2 week rotating shift pattern, alternating earlies (06:00-14:30) and lates (11:00-19:30)), with flexibility for overtime

Annual Salary: £26,400 per annum (£13.72 per hour), plus a monthly call-out allowance of £90 (£1080 p.a.). Combined actual £27,480.
On successful completion of initial caretaker training, and COSHH & National Pool Plant Operators qualification, your Salary will rise to £27,000 (£14.03 p/hr), plus a monthly call-out allowance of £90 (£1080 p.a.). Combined actual £28,080.

We are seeking a proactive and versatile School Caretaker and Estates Worker to join our dedicated team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on role and takes pride in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-functioning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform caretaking duties to support the daily operation and upkeep of the school’s premises.
- Carry out maintenance tasks across buildings and grounds to ensure facilities are always at their best.
- Assist with improvement projects and general maintenance of the school estate.
- Respond flexibly to changing work demands, including occasional out-of-hours duties.
- Support the broader estates and grounds team as required.
Requirements:
- We are looking for a reliable and resourceful individual who takes ownership of their work. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, or a similar role (preferred but not essential).
- Strong practical skills with the ability to carry out a variety of maintenance tasks effectively.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to new challenges.
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (required for the role).
