The Governors of this Roman Catholic day school for pupils with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, ambitious and committed Estates Manager who will join the school team at a very exciting stage of its journey. The School is part way through a 5-year, new School Building Project and this provides a fantastic opportunity for a suitably experienced and skilled Estates Manager, with a proven record of success. The position provides excellent opportunities for further career progression.
Job purpose
The Estates Manager is responsible for the Estates and Catering teams. The purpose of this role is to lead the implementation of an Estates strategy and to manage all aspects of the School’s properties upkeep, care, maintenance, security, health and safety and facilities management in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Additionally, to maintain refurbishments and other building advancements in terms of development and procurement and to act as the School representative with suppliers to the Estate, professional advisors (buildings) and contractors.
Critical to this role will be for the Estates Manager to coordinate and lead the School as it moves into its new buildings, securing a thorough understanding of the new build systems and how to secure best management practice of the new estate.
The successful candidate will be:

- An Estates Manager who is skilled and experienced in facilities management and in leading others.
- An Estates Manager with a clear understanding of the provision of outstanding safeguarding and health and safety activity.
